How do I return an Item?
Exchanges & Returns
Before we process any return/exchange, we must be satisfied that the item is in perfect, fully functional condition. This means that the item has no visible wear and tear marks, original tags are still attached or kept, and the item still functions to its full capacity.
If an item is purchased in store, we require a full proof of purchase, which comes in the form of a GST receipt provided by The Dugout upon the purchase of an item. A full receipt includes details of the item including price paid. We cannot process any returns/exchanges without a proof purchase, so we recommend this receipt is kept in a safe place. If the receipt is available, the item can be brought back into our store, where our friendly staff will assess the above criteria, and offer a suitable exchange or replacement.
If an item is purchased through our online store, an invoice detailing a full proof of purchase will be sent with shipment. While we have access to order and payment confirmations through our website, this invoice is the most accurate proof of purchase available. If you require the return/exchange of an item, you can email or call us to arrange a suitable replacement for the item purchased.

When returning or exchanging an item if you can please courier your item/s back to us (we don’t get regular post delivered so please use a courier) and if you can include some contact details and the size/colour you are after we will call you when your item to be exchanged has arrived and we will organise the exchange.
Please note: if you don’t include any details or contact number our dispatch team won’t be able to get back to swiftly and they will prioritise the order returns that have that key information.

What do I do if I have ordered the wrong item?

What do I do if I am after a quote for a club or school?
Please in the contact us section below, include the name of the club or school, the shipping address, the items we have listed on our website, the quantity/colour and we will get back to as soon as we can :)
How long will it take for my order to arrive?
The Dugout is committed to providing customers with a fast and efficient shipping service that meets the needs of all consumers. While we try our very best to ship goods out as quickly possible, third party courier services mean that we have no control over external factors influencing the delivery of an item.
Our guarantee to you is as follows:
Online Orders:
- Online orders will be shipped as soon as the order is confirmed on our website and payment has been received successfully. Please allow up to 24 hours for payment to appear in our accounts. Once received the order will be shipped that day.
Phone Orders:
- Orders placed over the phone will ship out on the same day. For Direct Debit payments please allow up to 24 hours for payment to appear in our accounts.
Delivery Times:
North Island:
- Orders shipping to North Island destinations run on a one-day or overnight service using New Zealand Couriers.
South Island:
- Orders shipping to South Island destinations run on a two-four day, inter-island service using Post Haste Couriers. In addition, there is a one-day service available.
Please Note:
- One-Day and Two-Four day shipping count from the day of shipment (i.e. if goods are shipped on a Monday via Two-Four day shipping, they should arrive on the Thursday. Shipment times are not calculated from the time the order is placed. Please refer to above information for order times.
- Please allow additional shipping times for weekends and public holidays.
Shipping Method:
- While The Dugout takes responsibility for the delivery of your goods, please note that because we use third party courier services, we have no control over the delivery times of items once they leave our warehouse. The aforementioned shipping times are based off the services we receive from each courier service, and are subject to change.
- If your item has not arrived inside the specified dates, or if there is a problem with your item once received (i.e. damaged, incorrect product etc.) please contact us on 09-828-0947
